OPC works in education, the environment and community development. RGS brings together farming, processing and hospitality. On this trip, you will meet the people behind this work, with visits arranged around their daily routines and time for conversation.
You do not need to take part in volunteer work on this trip.

On free days, the planned meals are available at the accommodation. Individual restaurant visits are at your own expense. All group activities are optional; skipping an included activity does not automatically reduce the price.
A trip that suits you.
Additional excursions, an alternative return route via Cape Coast or an extended stay can be agreed before booking. Extra costs will be listed separately. Before booking, you will receive the total price and a binding overview of the included services.

A few practical questions
Have the exact travel dates been confirmed?
The trip is planned for October 2027. You will receive the exact dates with the travel information. Please book flights only once the dates are confirmed and your arrival arrangements have been agreed.
Can I join on my own?
Yes. Solo travellers, couples and friends are welcome. When enquiring, let us know whether you would like a single room or would consider sharing.
How flexible is the daily programme?
All group activities are optional. Days 6 and 9, and day 12 until the optional farewell evening, are left free. Additional excursions can be arranged separately.
Is a German-speaking guide included?
Local English-speaking guides accompany the planned activities. German-speaking assistance is available on request and is included only if expressly confirmed in your personal offer.
How do boat trips and alternatives work?
Boat and fishing trips are arranged with local providers and take place only in suitable conditions. The island visit may be rescheduled; an alternative will be offered if conditions are unsuitable. Wildlife sightings and fishing catches cannot be guaranteed.
What do I need to arrange before travelling?
You arrange your own international flights, entry documents, insurance and personal health preparations. Before travelling, check the requirements for your nationality against the official information current at that time.
